I’ve never understood the escape of boundaries with some people when it comes to celebrities. For some reason, there are quite a few people who think “celebrity” means “not real” which THEN means “I can do what I want.” Justin Hartley, from “This is Us,” told Jimmy Kimmel about an incident where HE was sexually harassed! He said he didn’t mind talking about it, because, “she should be ashamed of herself.” Justin was eating dinner with friends in Chicago when some drunk lady came up to him, grabbed his face, and kissed him. You can read the whole story HERE, because it just gets crazier.
Here’s the thing….Justin is married. With a family. He has children. He was having a nice dinner with friends. And it was ruined by this random, rude, person. He even said something to the fact of “If I was a woman and you were a man, you could be arrested for this!” Which is very true!
I feel it’s weird I have to say this, to remind people…celebrities are actually people, too. Yea! I know! Crazy! They just happen to have a specific talent that puts them in the limelight. Those of you who say “well, they wanted to be an actor, they have to deal with being in the public and having everyone know their business and having their space invaded sometimes.” That’s ridiculous. They have a craft they love doing, so because YOU can’t control yourself, THEY are supposed to give up on their dream job? Seems accurate.
Please keep in mind, the next time you see a celebrity…If they are at dinner, if they are with their kids, if they are doing ANYTHING that YOU would not want interrupted…don’t interrupt them.
