PEORIA, Ill. – A 20-year-old Peoria woman was arrested Thursday on charges related to an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
Peoria Police on February 17th responded to the area of West Lake and North Wyss on a report of an inappropriate relationship between the complainant’s 14-year-old son and adult female, later identified as 20-year-old Sentiryia Haywood.
At the time, Haywood was an employee of the Peoria Public School.
Police shared evidence of the case with administrators of PPS, who relieved Haywood of her duties and immediately started an investigation.
She was terminated from the district on February 22 as a result of the investigation.
Haywood was brought in for questioning to the Peoria Police Department on Thursday, and was arrested after on charges of Child Pornography, Criminal Sexual Assault, Harmful Material, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Haywood was then taken to the Peoria County Jail.
