GOODFIELD (25News Now) – The Goodfield Police Department said Flock camera technology helped officers identify and arrest a man accused of breaking into the Barn Three Dinner Theatre and Event Center early Sunday morning.

Goodfield police announced the arrest of Christopher R. Lutschg, 54, on burglary charges.

The business owner initially shared surveillance photos of the suspect on social media and asked the public to help identify him.

According to Goodfield Police Chief William Lally, officers used those social media leads, along with Flock camera technology, to identify a vehicle associated with the suspect and ultimately make an arrest.

“Technology itself is neither good nor bad. It depends on how it’s used. We want to make sure it’s used responsibly and that safeguards are put into place,” Lally said.

Court records show Lutschg also has burglary-related offenses listed in Tazewell, Fulton, Mason and Woodford counties.
