CENTRAL ILLINOIS, Ill. – Several new road construction projects will impact traffic next week.
Southbound 14th Street in Pekin will be closed at Derby Street as part of the Derby Street reconstruction project between 14th Street and 8th Street. Side streets off Derby including Black Street, 13th Street and 12th Street will be open to help with detoured traffic off 14th Street.
East Peoria will see lane and turn restrictions expected at Springfield Road and East Washington Street for water main installation work. For a couple of weeks, traffic coming down the Springfield Road hill will only be able to make a right turn at East Washington.
And in Peoria County near Princeville, Duncan Road will be closed two and a half miles north of Route 90 for bridge rehabilitation. Work is expected to last until October.
