PEORIA, Ill. – Overdue financial audits will soon be conducted at Peoria Public Schools.

On Monday night, the school board unanimously approved hiring NOW CFO to conduct audits from the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.

NOW will provide two remote accountants who will work up to 40 hours/week at $115/hour, as well as a Controller for up to 10 hours/week at $211/hour.

Superintendent Dr. Jerry Bell says the original proposal would have the audits completed within two months.  He told the board that weekly updates can be provided to them.

The district is currently without a Chief Financial Officer after Michael Curry resigned earlier this month, after taking the role weeks prior.
