PEORIA, Ill. – A jackknifed semi-trailer snarled traffic on westbound Interstate 74 in downtown Peoria during Wednesday’s morning rush hour.
The crash happened around 8:35 a.m. near the Knoxville Avenue exit (milepost 92). According to Illinois State Police, the semi struck the concrete divider and jackknifed, blocking the westbound left lane.
The semi driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
Illinois State Police cleared the scene and reopened the left lane at approximately 10:07 a.m.
