PEORIA, Ill. – One of Peoria’s major bridges is set to be shut down for a second time this year.
The Cedar Street Bridge will close on Tuesday through November.
IDOT says the closure is needed to accommodate additional work to be completed on the bridge joint.
Requests for comment to IDOT by WMBD Radio on a more detailed reason for the closure were not returned.
Earlier this year, the bridge was closed from June 1st to August 19th for joint replacement and electrical work.
