PEORIA, Ill. – The chief nursing officer at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is out of the role.

An OSF spokesperson confirmed that Jennifer Croland is no longer employed with the hospital, and that there’s no disruption to patient care.

“Jennifer Croland is no longer employed at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. We appreciate her contributions and wish her well. Deatra Howard, an experienced health care executive, will serve as interim chief nursing officer while the search for a permanent leader is underway.”

Croland served as chief nursing officer for nearly 13 years, as part of a 28-year career with OSF.

Deatra Howard will serve as interim chief nursing officer while a search for a permanent leader is underway.  Howard previously served as chief nursing officer for healthcare systems in Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky.
