EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Foul play is not being suspected in the death of a person found along the Illinois River in East Peoria Monday night.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says an autopsy held on Tuesday on the victim shows drowning as the preliminary cause of death.
Hanley says the identity of the victim will not be released due to the circumstances.
Hanley says his office responded to the scene just after 7:30 P.M. The death is being investigated by East Peoria Police and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
