PEORIA COUNTY (25News Now) – A 70-year-old man was killed Friday in a head-on crash in Bartonville.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said on Monday that David E. Mason of Bird Avenue in Bartonville was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash was reported about 5:55 p.m. on Friday in the 1000 block of West Garfield Avenue, near North Lafayette Avenue.
Harwood said an autopsy showed Mason suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries and died instantly.
Bartonville Police and Illinois State Police investigated, but neither agency released details, including what caused the crash and whether other people were hurt.
