PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. (25News Now) – A Peoria Heights bakery is celebrating 165 years of memories, traditions and baked goods.
Trefzger’s is celebrating the milestone along with the 10th anniversary of its move to a larger facility. The bakery creates 250 different desserts and has more than 50 employees.
Owner Jeff Huebner said the bakery has become a place where tradition and family remain the top priority.
“It’s more like a community than it is a workplace, even though we have a lot of work that we pump out, that we do every single day. But we consider ourselves a big family and we like to have fun together as well as work hard together,” Huebner said.
To celebrate the years of sweet success, Trefzger’s had a party to commemorate the memories and treats made over the years. The party had live music, food trucks, and full bakery tours.
