PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman will spend 10 years in federal prison for her role in distributing methamphetamine.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois says 33-year-old Tracy Christine Frerichs was sentenced Thursday to 120 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. She previously pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Prosecutors say Frerichs distributed 55.9 grams of methamphetamine to another person in Peoria County in December 2025.
A week later, investigators searched her home and found approximately 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Frerichs was arrested in December 2025 and pleaded guilty in June. She has remained in federal custody since her arrest.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Peoria Multi-Agency Enforcement Group, Illinois State Police and Pekin Police.
