GALESBURG, Ill. – A Galesburg man is in trouble with the law in Knox County after he allegedly threatened to “shoot up” the Knox County Courthouse.
Knox County Sheriff Jack Harlan says Matthew Sullivan, 30, is now in jail on a felony charge of Disorderly Conduct.
Harlan says deputies learned Wednesday that Sullivan called the courthouse’s Traffic Division about ongoing cases, and that’s when he allegedly made the threat.
Harlan ordered the courthouse to be placed on lockdown until the situation was under control.
No word on when Sullivan will make a first court appearance.
