PEORIA, Ill. – Average gas prices in Peoria have fallen almost 4.5 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.73 a gallon on Monday, according to GasBuddy.
Peoria prices are just about 3 cents lower than a month ago, and over 9 cents lower than this time last year.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest gas in Peoria on Sunday was $3.49 a gallon, while the most expensive gas was $3.95. The lowest price in the state Sunday was $2.99, while the highest priced gas in Illinois was $8.77.
GasBuddy says the national average price of gas has fallen just under 2 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.63 on Monday.
Meanwhile, AAA says the average price of gas in the Peoria-Pekin metro area was $3.75 on Monday, the state’s average price was $3.95, and the national average gas price on Monday was $3.65.
