7:21 AM to 9:45 AM. I have no idea what happened. We got breakfast and the house picked up without incident. No one cried, no one got hurt, no one yelled at each other, teased each other, lied, hit, kicked, punched….
9:46 AM. Child #4 just blindside drop-kicked Child #1.
10:15 AM. Child #5’s toy vacuum turned on by itself. I repeat, the vacuum turned on by itself.
10:30 AM. Child #3 “Alexa, are there real ghosts”
11:15 AM. Child #2, “Mom, can we watch Ghostbusters”?
11:30 AM. Had a 45 min conversation about Ghosts. Reminder to self. Never mention Ghosts.
12:17 PM. THE VACUUM TURNED ON BY ITSELF AGAIN.
1:49 PM. Trying to not mention or talk about ghosts. Put on Disney +. Decide to watch High School Musical!. Now I have “we’re all in this together” in my head….
3:45 PM to 5:45 PM. Our dishwasher decided to take a crap. So what do you do when your on Lockdown… sell it to the kids as a great fun thing to do!! Children 1-3 were sold! Child #4 has a BS detector as large as mine and did not buy one word of that story.
5:49 PM. still waiting for storms…. “we’re all in this together”…. damn it.
6:26 PM. OMG…. THE VACUUM!! Its off!!! It. Is. Off!!!!! Why is it on???
7:05 PM. Bedtime. It was a good day. 2 hours of washing dishes and dancing is exhausting.
7:15 PM I threw the vacuum in the woods. “We’re all in this together”….. son of a……
