PEORIA, Ill. – The teenage victim in a fatal shooting Sunday night at Bradley Park in Peoria has been identified.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 17-year-old Jarvis Allison Junior of Peoria was pronounced dead just before 11:45 P.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Harwood says an autopsy reveals Allison suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and suffered injuries that were incompatible with life.
The shooting occurred at around 7:15 P.M., with Harwood saying Allison was initially conscious following the shooting, but his condition rapidly deteriorated.
An investigation into the shooting continues.

PEORIA, Ill. – A Sunday night shooting at Peoria’s Bradley Park has turned fatal.
Peoria Police says officers arrived just after 7:15 P.M. to numerous individuals fleeing on foot and in vehicles, which delayed getting to the 17-year-old male victim.
The teenager suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation shows that a group attending an unrelated event at a park shelter saw two groups actively exchanging gunfire.
The Peoria County Coroner will release the identity of the deceased.
An investigation into the shooting continues, as well as two other shootings that occurred on Sunday.
