PEORIA, Ill. – Carle Health has named Jeanette Murray, MBA, RN, as the president of Carle Health West Region, effective June 1.

The appointment, approved by both the West Region Board and the Carle Health Board, means Murray will succeed Dr. Keith Knepp.  A transition period is planned in the coming months to ensure continuity for teams and communities across the Greater Peoria area.

Murray currently serves as Carle’s vice president of hospital operations for the Greater Peoria Service Area and brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare operations and clinical services.

Matthew Kolb, Carle Health executive vice president and chief operating officer, says, “Jeanette is a trusted and respected leader who has played a direct role in supporting teams and strengthening care in Greater Peoria”. He noted that Murray’s leadership and focus on patient care positions her well to “continue moving the region forward with consistency and focus”.

Murray says her focus “will remain on listening, staying close to our teams and making sure we continue delivering the care our communities count on”.

Dr. Knepp, who led the region through a period of operational focus and performance improvement, expresses confidence in his successor, saying, “She understands our teams, our patients and the work ahead, and I have full confidence in her as she steps into this position”.
