EAST PEORIA, Ill. – A GoFundMe has been established to support the family of a fallen East Peoria police detective.
The fundraiser will support the wife and two sons of 41-year-old Bob Vester, who died last week after suffering cardiac arrest. A fundraiser is also taking place at Hometown Community Bank locations.
As of Wednesday morning, about $17,000 has been raised for a $50,000 goal.
Vester had served in the East Peoria Police Department since 2017, and previously served in the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
