SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – There’s a new text scam to be aware of.
The Illinois State Police says the texts claim they are from ISP or the DMV and demand immediate payment for traffic fines or threaten legal action.
State Police remind you that they will never contact you this way… they say never click any links or provide personal information. Instead, delete the message and report it as spam.
