PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria City Council has agreed to approve an intergovernmental agreement between the City, the Board of Education, and Peoria Public Schools for the redevelopment of the Expo Gardens Property.
The City acquired the land on Northmoor Road, adjacent to Northmoor Grade School and Richwoods High School, earlier this year.
The deal will now go to the school board. If approved, the City will gain access to University Street for residential development and gain additional frontage on Northmoor for neighborhood commercial development.
