PEORIA, Ill. – The Illinois State Police will be conducting special traffic enforcement patrols, or “STEPs” in Peoria County throughout the month of June.
These STEP’s allow the ISP to focus on the “fatal four” violations that contribute to the majority of traffic crashes and fatalities: impaired driving, occupant restraint, speeding, and distracted driving.
The increased patrols are all a part of the Click It or Ticket campaign. The project is funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
