PEORIA, Ill. — ArtsPartners of Central Illinois and Peoria County are hosting a First Fridays Amplified pop-up lunchtime celebration on Friday, June 5th, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m at Bicentennial Park.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 1pm at Courthouse Plaza to celebrate the reopening of the park following renovations.
Peoria County Board Chairperson James C. Dillon says the County is looking forward to the public being able to fully enjoy the park following improvements, which include new stone pavers, bronze bison statues within a new water feature, updated lighting, landscaping, and seating areas.
The event on June 5th will include entertainment, food trucks available for visitors to purchase items, and even free scoops of ice cream, while supplies last.
