PEORIA, Ill. -A former IHSA referee has been indicted on child sex abuse charges.
Court documents allege 61-year-old Kevin Armstrong committed the act against a female victim younger than 13 years old.
Police were called to a Peoria middle school last month after a student reported a relative had been abusing her.
Peoria Public Schools said Armstrong worked as a seasonal contractor and did not have unsupervised contact with any students.
Armstrong is due back in court on Thursday, June 4th.
