PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria City Council has given its blessing to a Warehouse District redevelopment project.

At Tuesday night’s meeting, the council unanimously approved a proposal by WS Investments to build up the 900-block of SW Adams St.  The plan would involve building street-level retail space, eight loft apartments, and tenant amenities that include a fitness center, sauna, and exterior patio space.

“It really fills in an area between Pop-A-Shot and Sugar that will help to fill that space along Adams Street,” Urich said.

The agreement would see the city reimburse up to 20% of the redevelopment costs for WS Investments.  The project is estimated to cost around $5.5 million.

A timeline provided in documents to the council estimates the property to be closed on in late-September, with site plans a month later.  Demolition is slated to take place in late-December, with construction to be completed in September 2028.
