PEKIN, Ill. – A crash in Pekin early Wednesday morning has left one person dead.
Illinois State Police say the crash at Veterans Drive and 5th Street happened just after 5 a.m.
The crash involved an SUV and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle has died.
Traffic was closed on Veterans Drive while the ISP investigated.
The intersection was reopened just after 9 a.m.

Illinois State Police are looking into what caused the wreck involving an SUV and a motorcycle just after 5 a.m.
Traffic was backed up while the ISP investigated. Drivers were advised to find another route.
ISP says the intersection was reopened just after 9 a.m.
