Peoria man arrested on drug charges after search warrant at his home

PEORIA, Ill. – A search warrant on Thursday led to the arrest of a Peoria man on drug and weapons charges.

39-year-old Tarrance Jones is charged with Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance.  On Monday, he was ordered detained until trial by a Peoria County judge.

Prosecutors say a search warrant was executed at Jones’ home.  Officers reportedly found close to two pounds of cocaine and one pound of cannabis, a digital scale, a handgun, and $17,000.

Jones was taken into custody on Thursday.
