PEORIA, Ill. – Big changes are coming to Bradley University. The school has just announced a $25 million plan to overhaul student housing—the biggest investment they’ve put into dorms in decades.

“At Bradley, we have always evolved to meet the needs of our students while remaining grounded in our mission and values,” said President James Shadid. “These investments reflect our commitment to providing students with modern living and learning environments that support academic success, foster community, and prepare Bradley for generations to come.”

The university’s Libby Derry says the centerpiece of the project is a total transformation of Harper Hall. They’re gutting the dorm to add suite-style rooms and private bathrooms—moving toward the kind of modern living spaces students are demanding these days.

Construction kicks off this fall, with the transformation wrapping up in the fall of 2028.

Derry says as part of the project, Wyckoff Hall will be torn down to make room for more green space.

If you live nearby, expect to see a lot of construction activity on the Bradley campus as the school pushes through upgrades to dining halls, dorms, and recreation areas.
