PEORIA, Ill. – (25 News) – A 62-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot in the arm Tuesday.
Peoria Police were called around 3:20 p.m. to the intersection of Hayes Street and Western Avenue for a person reportedly shot.
The victim was found and taken to a hospital.
The suspected shooter was identified as 35-year-old Anthony D. Gaston Jr. He was located at a home in the 1700 block of South Faraday Street.
He was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and four active warrants, and taken to the jail.
