PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Fire needed some assistance in putting out a mulch fire Monday morning.

Crews were called to the area of Darst and Clark just after 7:45 A.M., where there were no nearby fire hydrants.

A tanker truck from the 182nd Air National Guard was called in to provide water, while a Peoria Fire drone was utilized, and a JIMAX operator moved mulch to expose hot spots.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.

The fire’s cause is under investigation.
