PEORIA, Ill. – Reconstruction at the intersection of N. University and W. Northmoor in Peoria has been going on for several months now, and it’s not done yet.

Peoria Public Works’ Nick McMillion says their main plan was to have westbound traffic reopened before Richwood High students returned to campus.

“We were fortunate enough to have everything move pretty smoothly with this project, and we were able to open it up a week and a half before Richwoods and District 150 went back to school,” McMillion says.

The intersection at University and Northmoor is a hub for not only Richwoods, but also Northmoor Primary School, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School, and Peoria Public Schools transportation…where all their buses are stored.

McMillion tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan Show” that eastbound construction at the intersection of University and Northmoor is set to be completed by the end of this year.
