SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul says he is pleased a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order to block the Trump administration from accessing a database containing the personal information of roughly 17 million commercial drivers.

The lawsuit filed by a coalition of more than 20 states claimed the federal government threatened to cut more than $10 million in federal funding to the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators if the organization failed to provide the database.
