PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria gas prices were down nearly 9.5 cents in the last week.
GasBuddy says Monday’s average price is $4.21 a gallon. AAA’s price is a bit higher at $4.25.
That’s down nearly 14 cents from last month, but 85 cents higher than a year ago.
The cheapest gas in Peoria on Sunday was $3.98, while the highest price was $4.49.
GasBuddy says national prices are down a little over 3 cents a gallon, averaging $4.01 a gallon today. AAA’s national price is $4.08.
GasBuddy Analyst Patrick de Haan says the Trump administration struck a major deal over the weekend with Venezuela to help elevate prices, but any immediate impact would be tied to tensions between the U.S. and Iran and attacks on Russian oil refineries.
