Peoria to consider paying city employees who serve as election judges

PEORIA, Ill. – A measure being considered on Tuesday night’s Peoria City Council agenda would allow city employees to get paid if they volunteer to serve as an election judge. 

If passed, the measure would apply to all full-time city employees who are appointed to serve as election judges for any primary, general, consolidated, or special election. 

This policy would only apply to election day service–time to certify or train as an election would not be covered.
