PEORIA, Ill. – Artists ReEnvisioning Tomorrow Inc. will receive more than $500,000 in state funding aimed at expanding workforce training and career opportunities.

The organization was awarded $502,860 through the latest round of Illinois’ Job Training and Economic Development Program, or JTED. It is listed as the North Central Illinois recipient in the latest round of grants. 

The program provides job training, career preparation and support services for people facing barriers to employment, including people who are unemployed or underemployed. Priority populations also include immigrants and refugees, justice-involved individuals, rural residents and young people facing barriers to employment. 

The grant is part of $11.4 million being awarded to 23 organizations across Illinois in the latest round of JTED funding. 

Through the first three rounds of the program, Illinois has awarded more than $46 million through 100 grants to community organizations statewide.
