DAY 40!!!!!! I am not losing my mind!! You’re losing your mind!!!
7:08 AM. Today is the day we get organized!!! School is officially staying in these 4 walls, we are staying home another 30 plus days. Today is the day!
7:09 AM. Child #5 in meltdown mode because he couldn’t have 4 more cookies in each hand to shove in his mouth to go with the 4 he already shoved in there. I already caved with the cookies for breakfast because we just finished the meltdown over seeing the cookie box on the counter that someone (Kim) forgot to put away last night. It’s an all around meltdown morning!
8:58 AM. OK. Now we start to organize!
9:07 AM. Have a meeting with one of Child #4’s teachers at 10. What can I get done in an hour??? NOTHING!! OK, I will sit for a little bit. Nope… forgot I’m the teacher!! Time to teach!
11:16 AM. OK, NOW!!! Wait, another kid has a meeting at 1. Ok, I’ll sit for a little bit.
3:14 PM. NOW, I will get started!! Crap, showings at 5:30. Ok. I’ll get dinner ready!
5:04 PM. Leave for showings. Children 1 & 3 are tagging along! Driving and I have my map out. Child #1 asks why part of the road on the map is red. I said because that is where the road falls down. OMG!!!!! They screamed when we hit the red part… when nothing happened child #1 said “mom, that wasn’t funny”. I said, speak for yourself! Child #3 said “well who else would come out of her mouth”?
8:00 PM. Pull in home from showings. Child #3 says “I can’t wait to tell child #2 we stayed up late”. Walk in door… Child #3 sitting on couch with a grin on her face “Mommy let me stay up since you were still gone”!!! Child #3 “dang it”!
