8:01 AM. Up and already almost through the breakfast rush. This limit on eggs is really starting to affect the native children. We usually go through a dozen for 1 breakfast! French toast, scrambled, fried, eggs in a hole…. we love our eggs. Child #4 told me “you know I prefer 2 eggs in a hole with a side of scrambled mom… this is ridiculous I’m not getting my scrambled”. Fair enough fatty…. fair enough.
9:32 AM. Being on Spring Break, I thought a nice beachy movie would bring us together. So, The Greatest Showman it is…. Clearly I got voted down.
11:12 AM. First snack has been distributed. The girls wanted to cook, so we started prepping for lunch and dinner.
1:30 PM. Lunch done. I announced it was time to play outside!! 50 plus degrees!!!!
1:47 PM. Hear an odd, yet familiar sound coming from Child #1’s bedroom…. almost like…. she has downloaded a slot machine game!! Currently sitting at a 1.2 million.dollar balance!!
2:10 PM. Talking to Child #1, who is currently crying. I am a dream crusher. She was going to buy a house in Tennessee by Nana and Papa, a new bike, and also.a candy bar. She didn’t know she wouldn’t really get the money. Thanks slot machine game!! For the Mom win, we went to the gas station to get that candy bar. Although she is still not happy about the house.
3:45 PM. I think Kim is losing it. No matter what I or the kids say, she breaks into uncontrollable laughter. Is this a symptom of Covid-19? Is this “the change”? Send help immediately!
4:59 PM. Kids are outside practicing their social distancing on their hoverboards and scooters. We put on a grown-up show. DO NOT WATCH COUNCIL OF DADS. My kids have taken all my feelings and emotions. However, I find myself ugly crying and going through my friends deciding who is going to be in my Council of Moms. Hold please. Need to cry in a corner.
6:12 PM. Post dinner game of Operation to end the night. “Stop touching my bones”, “why can’t I just shake the bone out”….. all reasons why Med schools is not in our future.
7:01 PM. Quick dance party to get out our wiggles and off to bed.
