Peoria Public Schools bus driver cited after crash | Mix 106.9

PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Public Schools bus driver involved in a crash near downtown Peoria last week has received a citation.

Peoria Police says the driver involved was cited for reportedly running a red light.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 9:45 A.M. on Wednesday in the area of Glen Oak and Fayette.

Sixteen students and two adults were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The bus had 40 Charter Oak first grade students on it, heading to the Peoria Riverfront Museum on a field trip.
