PEORIA, Ill. – Four people were sent to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash Friday morning in downtown Peoria.

The Fire Department says It happened around 9:20 a.m. on NE Adams, where one car flipped on its side and all three vehicles were badly damaged. 

Firefighters had to use the “jaws of life” to cut through the metal and free one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. 

Fire Battalion Chief Steve Rada said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, but the crash is a reminder to keep your eyes on the road. 

Peoria Police are still looking into what caused the crash near the corner of NE Adams and Spalding.
