Peoria man arrested for having a loaded gun in his car

PEORIA, Ill. – A man faces gun charges following a traffic stop in Peoria.

Police say officers pulled over a vehicle just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at Western Avenue and Starr Street.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded firearm. As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Javon Wilson was arrested and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
