The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Peoria County in central Illinois...
  Fulton County in west central Illinois...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 540 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Canton, Lewistown, Farmington, Cuba, Hanna City, Glasford,
  Trivoli, Vermont, St. David, Fairview, Ipava, Table Grove,
  Dunfermline, Bernadotte, Smithfield, Bryant, Norris, Banner,
  Marietta and Ellisville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  Marion County in northeastern Missouri...

* Until 900 PM CDT.

* At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 1
  to 2 inches are possible generally along and north of the North
  River. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Palmyra, Warren, La Grange, Ewing, Maywood, Philadelphia and
  Taylor.
