PEORIA, Ill. – Severe weather left its mark across central Illinois Wednesday morning in the first wave of predicted storms.

Spotters for the National Weather Service office in Lincoln reported a tree falling on a house in Metamora, as well as numerous power lines down throughout the village.

A utility pole reportedly snapped with wires dangling at Behrends and Hillman in Washington.

Trees were also reported down in Princeville and south of Rome.

Spotters also reported a semi-truck rollover on I-39 near El Paso in Woodford County.

60 MPH wind gusts were reported in Princeville, Dunlap, Bellevue, and Roanoke.

A tornado watch remains until 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, with more storms predicted to arrive this afternoon.
