PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – An intersection near the border between Peoria’s West Bluff and West Peoria was closed for about an hour Sunday evening because of a two-car accident that injured both drivers.
They were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a Peoria Police spokesperson.
Authorities shut down the intersection of Main Street and Heading Avenue, near Farmington Road, shortly after the accident was reported about 6 p.m. The City/County Emergency Communications Center said the intersection was reopened shortly after 7 p.m.
Police are investigating.
