EAST PEORIA, Ill. – An East Peoria man is behind bars following an alleged home invasion.
Police say 32-year-old Kodi Washington broke into a home on Kerfoot Street in the middle of the night last Wednesday and sexually assaulted a juvenile in her bedroom.
Washington was gone by the time police arrived, but detectives worked with state forensic services to track him down and make an arrest the same day.
He’s currently being held at the Tazewell County Jail, facing charges including home invasion and sexual exploitation of a minor.
