SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Illinois Central College is receiving help from the state to establish a new Manufacturing Training Academy.
The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity announced on Monday that $3 million dollars will be given to the college.
The money will go towards construction, as well as facility improvements and receiving modern equipment.
ICC’s planned facility will focus on Industrial Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
