CHICAGO, Ill. – Rivian is being honored with the Innovator of the Year Award by the Illinois Economic Development Corporation.
The company is being honored for its commitment to the state of Illinois as the company continues to expand its production of the R2 SUV.
The company will receive the award at the inaugural Illinois Impact Awards ceremony, which will be held at the new Obama Presidential Center, later today (Thurs).
Governor JB Pritzker says the Illinois Impact Awards celebrate the very best of Team Illinois— the people and organizations working together to attract investment, drive innovation, create good-paying jobs, and strengthen communities across our state.
