PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – Gunfire early Fourth of July morning at a Central Peoria apartment complex left a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Peoria Police told 25 News that they received several calls about shots fired at Brandywine Crossing Apartments, near War Memorial Drive, about 7:15 a.m.
A police spokesperson said the victim was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. His condition is not known, and suspect information is not available.
Police said this is an “on-going” investigation.
