East Peoria house fire causes $25,000 in damage, no injuries reported

EAST PEORIA, Ill. – No one was injured after a fire damaged an East Peoria home Monday morning.

The East Peoria Fire Department was called to a home at 312 Mary around 8:36 a.m. for a reported structure fire.

Fire officials say the residents were home when the fire started but had safely made it outside before firefighters arrived.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire and kept it contained to a single bedroom. No residents, firefighters or animals were injured. 312 Mary

Damage to the home is estimated at about $25,000.

The fire was investigated and determined to be accidental.
