PEORIA, Ill. – Severe storms on Wednesday left their impact across central Illinois.

National Weather Service spotters submitted reports from numerous communities, following severe thunderstorm watches and warnings, as well as a tornado watch.

A portion of the North Tower roof at Carle Health Pekin Hospital was damaged by storms, but a spokesman says there were no injuries and the hospital remains fully operational.

25 News reports a tree crushed a vehicle at a house on Winter Street, along with a truck and a porch.

Power outages were reported in Chillicothe, Rome, and Varna.  Lacon, Chillicothe, Peoria Heights, Tremont, and Princeville also reported downed trees and limbs.

Trained spotters reported 70 MPH wind gusts in Varna.  Farmington reported 61 MPH wind gusts, along with a power pole and lines down.

Wind gusts of around 60 MPH were reported in Creve Coeur, El Paso, and Roanoke.
